The Events Committee of St. Margaret Parish invite all to come to the Rectory after both the 8:00am and 9:30am mass for the Second Sunday Social which will be held on the second Sunday of each month (February 13th). Hope to see you there!
St. Margaret’s Events Committee will host its 3rd annual Lenten Fish Fry in the Holy Spirit Parish Hall on Friday, March 18, 4-6:30pm.
The meal is being catered by Krolick’s with the haddock being cooked on-site. Dine in or carry out tickets are $10 PRESALE.
Tickets will go on sale beginning Sunday, February 14 and will continue through Sunday, March 13. If you would like to volunteer to help at this event, please call Pam in the rectory office, 876-5318.
- There will be no Confirmation for either parish in 2015. If you have a current 9th grader in a public school, that student must be in the class on Sunday mornings this year and next year, to receive Confirmation in 2016. There are very explicit guidelines that students must have two years of high school religion classes prior to Confirmation. Please call the Religious Ed Office at 875-9478 with questions!
- We continue to collect new, unused, unopened personal care items to distribute in our community. Thank you again for your generosity and support. Suggested items include: Men's razors, shaving cream, body wash and deodorant, baby wash, powder, lotion, wipes and diapers, Q-tips, band-aids, toothpaste and toothbrushes, bar soap, and women’s body wash, deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, hand cream, feminine care items, combs, brushes, and small Kleenex packs. Thank you for your support!
ADULT ALTAR SERVERS:
- St. Margaret's is in need of more adults to volunteer to serve as Altar Servers at Funeral Masses. Training would be provided. The servers are not only a help to the celebrant, but their presence at a Funeral Mass is also a source of comfort to our families in their time of sorrow. Please contact Fr. Joe at the rectory office or following any Mass if you have any questions or are able to help out.
Dash’s Store Receipts:
- We are still accepting Dash’s store receipts as a fundraiser for our parish. Donation boxes are located at the parking lot and Hertel Ave. exits of the Church. Thank you for your support!
